Music and art were both important items in school curriculum in my day. I was fortunate to have had both from from kindergarten through high school. My father, Walter Francis Roddy, pianist and singer, and session musician with Nat King Cole, inspired and encouraged me to sing and play instruments.

My father passed in 2003. The following year, opportunities to make music appeared in my life here in Honolulu.
